Today we stop to remember all those who lost their life in accidents at work or from work related illnesses or injuries.

Too many.

It is also an opportunity for all of us to take the time to reflect on the significance of work health and safety in 2020 and to commit to doing better than we have.

We must all dedicate ourselves to doing better, to eliminating these tragedies from our society. Workers’ lives should never be accepted as a cost of doing business.

It is important we do this, because the families and friends of those lost must do so every day.

To give their loss meaning, we must re-dedicate ourselves to doing all we can to remove this scourge from our workplaces and our community.
